BOKER 500 Serrated Edge Ti-Mariner
The Ti-Mariner was developed by knife designer Dietmar Pohl and German deep sea diving champion (240 meters), Jens Honer. Since their first conversations at the Boot 2002 (the German trade show for marine sports), several design revisions and steel and titanium prototypes have been produced to create the ultimate rustproof cutting tool for divers. Uncompromising functionality was the highest design goal for this knife. The full tang construction made of Alpha-beta-titanium (grade 5) inhibits the formation of salt crystals on the handle. A double-edged, 4 blade created to cut its way out of anything has full serrations from the tang 1 up the blade and micro serrations on the remainder 2 to the tip. Another version is available with a double sided plain edge. This knife is compact with an overall length of 8 and lightweight at just 2.8 oz. that it can be attached to the forearm, but the handle is large enough to fit comfortably in a hand with thick neoprene gloves. The package includes a multi-functional Kydex sheath with leg/arm straps.
